How to Help
Donate, Foster, Adopt, Volunteer & Fundraising
Employee Fundraising
Fundraising in the workplace is a great way to engage your employees and customers. Coffee mornings, lunches, dress down or even dress up days and other such activities can be fun, motivating, inspirational and show you care for animals (and their owners) in your local community whilst providing us with vital funds to continue our good work. We are happy to support employee fundraising days in any way we can.

Charitable Schemes: Amazon, Pets at Home etc
This is easy and does not cost you anything. Many companies including Pets at Home and Amazon and others have charitable schemes. Please choose RSPCA Bedfordshire South Branch as your chosen charity.
Volunteer
We have many volunteer roles available including:
- Shop work in our Ampthill store
- Driver. Transporting pets to and attending vet appointments, transporting equipment, collection or drop off of donations etc.
- Admin, media, design, PR and fundraising
- Specialist advisors finance, governance, legal, business etc.

Foster
We do not have an animal centre locally. Instead, all of our rescues are placed in foster homes. As a branch we provide all equipment, food and vet care. All you need is a love for animals and the time and patience needed to care for a possibly sick or traumatised animal. We provide all the individual and group support to all out foster volunteer. Note that you will need a spare room to foster in if you have your own pets.
Trustee
Our branch is led by a branch committee that consists of a number of trustee’s who make decisions and are accountable and responsible for the branch’s activities. Our branch relies on volunteers and paid staff to undertake a wide range of animal welfare work in our branch local area, such as fostering, fundraising, home visiting and charity shop work to name a few. As a trustee of our branch, you will have the chance to influence how we care for and prevent cruelty to animals. How we raise funds and how to best use our resources.
It's a great way to meet like-minded people who share your enthusiasm for animal welfare. You will have the opportunity to gain new skills, whilst using and developing existing ones, whilst making a real difference to the lives of animals. Most people aged 18+ are eligible to become a trustee. You will need to be a member of the RSPCA.
